A New Church From the Old

I have been concerned lately. As late there have been many notes and articles written concerning the new church and new leadership, apostles, prophets and ministers. I have read what are to be prophetic words and writings concerning this new wave and how the old will be left behind for the new. A new order of apostles and new word in the prophetic. I read that the vision of the church will change and the apostle and prophet will lead the change. Those who hold on to the old ways will be left behind and the new way will address the world where it is today in a current fresh way. A new church emerging from the old, a new type of Christian.

I continue to be amazed by all of this. I would say that most, if not all the body of Christ and leadership, continue to struggle learning and applying the word of God in their daily life. I know that I continue daily to press forward in the high call that is in the Lord Jesus Christ. There is so much more in His word to learn and to be obedient in, so much more revelation to receive, ever changing , and renewing the mind and this flesh to His image.

I must confess that over so many years of studying His word and praying over I still fall short at times. I continue in prayer, by the leading of the Holy Spirit to strive to be more like Him.

My journey in His word and by His Spirit has taught me much; however there is so much more to be learned. I want to state clearly I do not need a new revelation or new rules or any other word that does not line up completely with the word of God. Any prophetic or apostolic word that does not fall in line with God’s written word, (the word of Christ, the rock and foundation and the apostles, the twelve who were chosen, eye and witnesses’ pillars of faith and His word,) is not from God but rather from the heart and lips of men.

The church and leadership, the body of Christ, must live by, preach and teach the bible, God’s living word. How can any of us claim all this new revelation or new ways when we have not completely understood, applied and consumed the living word of God?

Thank God and our Lord Jesus Christ,. He walks with us in grace and mercy and love, by His Holy Spirit He guides and teaches as we grow daily and desire to be more like Him, a living epistle of the power of Jesus Christ and His word. I believe there are prophets and apostolic leadership, but will not follow anything or any word that is not in total agreement and aligning itself with the word of God.

If this is considered the old way, or not the direction of the new church or its new leadership, then you can leave me out. I will not follow. I will continue to strive and rely on His word, His written testament, I’m sure it will take me my lifetime and I will make some mistakes along the way but will press on to finish the race.

GA 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

GA 1:9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
